Below are the 16 Tithis in the Hindu Panchanga

1. Pratipada: Lord Brahma is the presiding deity of the 1st Tithi Pratipada or Padyami.


2. Dwitiya: The main deity of this 2nd Tithi is Vidhata. Aswini Devats were born on this Tithi.


3. Tritiya: Lord Vishnu is the ruling deity of 3rd Tithi. Lord Parashurama was born in this Tithi. Its is a Jaya Tithi and bestows victory.


4. Chaturthi: Yama is the lord of 4th Tithi Chaturthi. Lord Ganesha was born during this Tithi.


5. Panchami: Moon is the ruling deity of Panchami. Goddess Saraswati was born in this 5th Tithi.


6. Shasthi: Karthikeya/Muruga is the Lord of 6th Tithi.


7. Saptami: It the birth Tithi of Lord Surya. Saptami is auspicious for starting any new work.


8. Ashthami: Vasus rule this 8th Tithi and it is the birth Tithi of Lord Krishna and Goddess Durga.


9. Navami: Birth Tithi of Lord Rama. Serpent is the ruling deity of 9th Tithi.


10. Dasami: Dharma is the ruling diety of 10th Tithi. It is the birth Tithi of Astha Dikpalakas (the rulers of the 8 directions).


11. Ekadasi: Rudra rules this 11th Tithi. It is the birth Tithi of Lord Kubera.


12. Dwadasi: Sun is the ruling deity of 12th Tithi. It is the birth Tithi of Lord Vamana.


13. Trayodasi: 13th Tithi also called Pradosham is ruled by Cupid.


14. Chaturdasi: Goddess Kali rules this 14th Tithi. It is the birth tithi of Lord Narasimha.


15. Amavasya: Viswadevas is the ruling deity of 15th Tithi. Lord Shanideva was born in this Tithi.


16. Poornima: It is a Poorna Tithi ruling deity is Viswadevas. It is the birth Tithi of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Hanuman, Buddha and Devi Gayatri
